This Privacy Policy describes how SES-CAB: Science, Evidence & Safety Clinical Advisory Board ("SES-CAB," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in the United States when you access our website ses-cab.org, interact with our content, subscribe to communications, or contact us. This Policy applies to information collected online and offline to the extent applicable.

Sensitive and Health-Related Information

SES-CAB is not a healthcare provider or health plan and is generally not a HIPAA-covered entity. Information you share with us is typically not protected health information under HIPAA.

Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain states (including, as applicable, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Montana, Texas, Oregon, and Delaware) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and, where applicable, opt out of processing for targeted advertising or profiling. SES-CAB does not engage in targeted advertising or sell personal information as defined by these laws. You may submit a rights request using the contact methods above. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with "Appeal" in the subject line.

Global Privacy Control

If we implement cookies or technologies for which an opt-out is relevant, we will endeavor to honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where legally required.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights granted by law.

Consumer Health Data Notices

To the extent state consumer health data laws (such as Washington’s My Health My Data law or Nevada’s Consumer Health Data Privacy Law) apply, SES-CAB only collects consumer health data you voluntarily provide (e.g., questions about medications or conditions) and limited usage analytics. We use such data solely to respond to your requests, ensure safety and quality, maintain our services, and improve our content. We do not sell consumer health data or use it for targeted advertising. We disclose consumer health data only to service providers and as required by law. You may request access or deletion using the contact information above, subject to verification and legal exceptions.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly and take steps to comply with applicable laws.

Do Not Track

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals at this time. Where required, we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals as described above.
